- Pioneering Initiatives: Connie established the Women’s Self-Employment Project (WSEP), the pioneering U.S. microenterprise program for economically disadvantaged women. Her groundbreaking work includes launching the first U.S. urban adaptation of Bangladesh’s Grameen Bank model and initiating Individual Development Accounts.
